Flores is a small island in northern Indonesia, named by the Portuguese when they inhabited the region. It is one of the most visited islands of the archipelago.
It was the missionaries who introduced the cultivation of coffee, with varieties
imported from Colombia (Red and Yellow Bourbon).
Produced by one of the oldest communities in Indonesia, located in the west of the island: the Waerebo. For this isolated population, coffee production is a blessing because it is a sustainable crop that allows them to use the land for a new crop without any preparation. Klasik Beans brings them innovation with specific microlots for each producing family, in honey processes and in different varietals. This coffee is a microlot produced by the village chief, Raphael Apen, with only the yellow bourbon variety.
